What is the Cottage Kitchen?
The Cottage Kitchen welcomes all and has a long history of offering hospitality, facilities and support to people in the local community. The Cottage Kitchen aims:
- to welcome all
- to actively find and work with local people
- to make real friendships and grow together
- to be a place where people can stop
- and talk about daily things or more important things
- to be a safe place where people are not left behind in a rush

Who are PPMH?
PPMH stands for People Promoting Mental Health and is a group of friendly people who meet at the Cottage Kitchen every Friday.

Where and When?
The Cottage Kitchen is located at 160 St Vincent Street, Port Adelaide. PPMH meet at the Cottage Kitchen every Friday.

Other Activities
Food with Friends
Food with Friends happens at The Cottage Kitchen once a fortnight on Thursdays.
It is a low cost healthy meal and social time.
People are welcome to come and learn food preparation, shopping and volunteer skills from 3 p.m onwards. Evening meal starts at 5.30 p.m.
There are opportunities for people to be volunteers and support each other at this community meal. Cost of meal: people are invited to donate $2 to help with food costs.

Walking for life: 2004 -2006.
- aims to provide safe, fun and sociable walking sessions.
- walks supervised by a fitness instructor and supported by volunteers.
- meet at The Cottage Kitchen on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9.15 (not on public holidays; some variation in timetable during school holidays)
- walk for an hour and then enjoy a healthy morning tea.
- volunteers trained and encouraged to support fellow walkers to walk and socialise safely.
